Thanks to everyone who attended the Learning and Teaching day on Wednesday 16th January. It was a really successful and engaging day made possible by the fantastic range of colleague’s presentations, workshops and activities on the theme of Accessible Learning Accessible Assessment.
“Overall, a fantastic day. Brilliant for knowledge sharing and making connections with people - I met and spoke to a series of people who I would love to talk to more and work with in the future. Again, I think the format of the day really encouraged conversation, which is great.” - Delegate

The seventh UAL Learning and Teaching Day will take place at London College of Fashion on Wednesday 16th January 2013, a designated non-teaching day.
This year’s theme is ‘Accessible Learning, Accessible Assessment’. We want to explore how potential barriers to learning can be overcome through creative and collaborative curriculum design including assessment design, which deliberately addresses issues of access and openness. This may relate to disability, but could also include any approach which has enabled all students to participate fully by addressing practices which otherwise marginalise any student on the basis of their background, practices, beliefs, or ability in an area unrelated to achievement in the discipline.
