Teaching, learning and creative collaboration at UAL: The field of play
In this short key note Professor Susan Orr will explore teaching and learning in the context of the arts university. Drawing on her research in to creative practice pedagogy she will discuss the importance of collaboration as a tool for student and staff learning. Susan will argue for greater recognition of the wider course teams ( including technicians, academic support, library staff and lecturers) that support students’ learning. Susan will explore the conflicting challenges associated with offering courses that allow for unanticipated creative outputs (a Pedagogy of Ambiguity) in the context of a need for clarity and organisation (a Pedagogy of Organisation).
