Reading the Library

In one of the sessions in the ISHE Unit for the BA Illustration and Visual Media course we invite the students to recreate the College Library in the classroom. This task works at a number of different levels and allows the students to explore the library both physically and philosophically. By the end of the session they understand how libraries are organised and the categories by which they order and catalogue books. More practically understand the library systems used at UAL, the physical environment of the College Library and most importantly how to take out a book.
