Academic Support Online (ASO) uses different academic and architectural spaces to support learning. From a mobile-friendly website, students access appropriate resources and teaching events - these include tutorials, workshops and UAL-wide events across different courses and colleges.

ASO offers collaboratively-produced resources including stand-alone technical info, context-specific guides and selected, experiential viewpoints. This allows ASO to become transposed across University contexts and curriculums in general and specific ways, including remedial, technical and generative learning.

Following on from last year’s Learning and Teaching Day introduction to the plans for ASO, this year’s follow-up presentation focuses on ASO developments since its launch in September 2015, and in particular on themes of student engagement. It connects ASO both to the conference them of learning spaces, and an understanding of academic learning as creative practice.
