Contemplative pedagogies
Daily, our working lives are played out in an increasing pace, and we are asked to respond to many competing priorities. In this quickening pace, how we contemplate our experience and the ethics of what informs our practice of teaching / making / researching rarely come into clear view.
In this workshop we consider the importance of creating space for contemplating our own teaching / making / researching practice. Drawing insights from contemplative practices within therapeutic and philosophical contexts - such as mindfulness and reflective practice - we will also be introducing a new UAL Community of Practice that explores the potential of contemplative pedagogies within our teaching and learning contexts.
