Using the interactive classroom to induct large numbers of students
An investigation into using interactivity in the classroom and lecture theatre. I went to a workshop on student-generated induction at LCF by Nicholas Bowskill. Based on social identity theory he created a participative induction experience for students. I first tested the ‘clickers’, and since then have been continuing to experiment with this idea of interactivity using www.socrative.com
As stage 1 leader I am responsible for unit briefings and induction to large numbers of students. This technology has been really useful to check understanding, to collect student questions to a briefing, and to gather instant anonymous feedback
I would like to present my findings using this software to give an interactive experience to the participants.
