Extracurricular Enrichment: The Many-Languages Poetry Club
The Many-Languages Poetry Club was formed in November 2021. It brings together students from across UAL, to explore the dazzling richness and variety of poetry.
It quickly became apparent that there is a huge amount of writing talent at the University. Some students who joined us have been composing poetry for many years, and have a profound relationship with creative language. The Club provides an opportunity to read aloud -the first time, for some- in front of a supportive peer audience.
This talk explores the huge benefits, the delights -and also the challenges- of establishing this kind of extracurricular offering.
