Post-visual pedagogies for emancipated affective learning: UAL Online PAR #11
The objectives of this research intervention were to push the envelope of online learning as far as possible and re-imagine what new possibilities the medium may have to offer.
Areas of innovation are my attempt to produce a fully non-visual approach through a podcasts to untether the learner from the laptop/computer monitor;
a course model that can combine flexible synchronous/asynchronous participation in an ad-hoc fashion;
an embodied and affective approach to somatic pedagogies that enable new somatic sensemaking that takes place on the learner’s terms, rather than those of the course leader or the hosting University.
