Feeding two birds with one scone- increasing community and networking opportunities
The pandemic forced us to stay home, approach work and socialising in a different way, online meetings offered a way to stay connected, opening up new friendship groups and closing geographical boundaries, however these 2d screen based trans-missive activities also created a space to retreat and observe, affecting confidence and resilience.
In education the natural flow was disturbed, the rhythm of the year(s) morphed into a stream of online meetings, blurring lines between personal and professional worlds.
Within this context I will present a series of ideas and examples to embed interventions and networking activities to increase belonging and community.
