We will hold tickets on the door but encourage attendees to book in advance.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There will be a welcome desk with all the details you will need about the day,\u00a0and someone there to guide you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There will be Festival Assistants on site to support your experience throughout the day\u00a0including wayfinding and access support.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Multiple water points and bathrooms are available on all levels of the\u00a0building, and\u00a0can be\u00a0found\u00a0on the map.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are encouraged to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There will be a self-serve bag store on the ground floor near the entrance where you may leave larger baggage at your own risk. This will not be\u00a0staffed\u00a0and we encourage you not to leave valuables unattended.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session Formats<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions are&nbsp;curated into 50&nbsp;minute&nbsp;\u2018Blocks\u2019 where there will be a mixture of session&nbsp;formats&nbsp;across the&nbsp;Festival,&nbsp;ranging&nbsp;from&nbsp;shorter&nbsp;form&nbsp;\u2018lightning talks\u2019 with Q&amp;A discussions&nbsp;to&nbsp;some more engaged \u2018workshops\u2019, enabling you to choose a pace&nbsp;and mode that works best for you.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;core&nbsp;session types and approximate runtimes are:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Panel discussion (50 mins)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Workshop (50 mins)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Conversation\u00a0(25\u00a0or\u00a050\u00a0minutes)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paper (25 mins including\u00a015 mins + 10 mins discussion)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lightning talk\u00a0(5 mins\u00a0per\u00a0presenter + 20 min\u00a0group discussion at the\u00a0end)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>On top of this, there will be&nbsp;drop-in&nbsp;exhibitions, creative participatory making\/doing workshops,&nbsp;film&nbsp;screenings&nbsp;and immersive sound installations&nbsp;to explore and drop into across the day&nbsp;offering multiple entry points to engagement.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The installations and exhibitions will be in situ all day. The captured images&nbsp;and footage&nbsp;may be used for promotional purposes, including but not limited to:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Social media posts&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Event recaps and highlights&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Future event promotions&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 Organisational newsletters and reports&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any concerns or prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please inform the event staff upon arrival.&nbsp;We will provide you with a no-photography sticker to&nbsp;indicate&nbsp;that you do not consent to the use of any images or footage captured.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Session Recording<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have&nbsp;decided not to record&nbsp;most&nbsp;Festival&nbsp;sessions, due to:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the number of hours of material\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to encourage a safe space and a spirit of trust and openness in discussion and\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to avert breaches of confidentiality and privacy in managing this complex event.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Headline sessions&nbsp;that start and close the day will be recorded and available to view afterwards.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Health, Safety and Wellbeing<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please take note of the following provisions:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rest spaces<\/strong>:\u00a0There will be a\u00a0rest space available for your use on\u00a0each floor of the\u00a0Festival\u00a0activity, in A010 and B201. Feel free to use this area if you need a break or time to yourself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>First aid<\/strong>:\u00a0A first aider will be on site to\u00a0assist\u00a0with any medical needs or\u00a0emergencies;\u00a0Moderators and\u00a0Festival Assistants will be able to direct you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Fire safety<\/strong>:\u00a0There will be no fire drills during the event. If you hear the alarm, please make your way to the nearest exit promptly and safely.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Hydration<\/strong>:\u00a0Please bring a refillable water bottle. There will be several water points on site to keep you hydrated throughout the event.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We aim to create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.
