A warm thanks to everyone who came to the Learning and Teaching Day on 14th January at LCC. We had a packed schedule full of interesting presentations, workshops and activities that provoked lots of incredibly positive feedback and discussion, a big thanks to all that presented on the day.

Registration* will begin at 9.00 in the Lower Street Gallery (located just beyond the barriers at main reception). Please arrive in good time to start at 9.30 prompt, when we will hear from our keynote speaker, Dr Mark Readman of Bournemouth University.
There will be a coffee break at 11:15 at the Upper Street Gallery and lunch will be taking place in the main LCC cafeteria (located beyond the Upper Street Gallery) between 12.40-13.40. The Posters will be running at the same time in or around the same space, please make sure you allow some time to visit them.
*Please note that during registration you will be able to sign up for the various parallel sessions. The capacity per session is limited, so please arrive early to ensure a place.

We are delighted to be announcing the first UAL Teaching Scholarships at the Learning and Teaching Day.
The annual UAL Teaching Scholarship is a prestigious new award for academic and support staff who demonstrate excellence in teaching and support. Successful applicants prepare a case study in which they present what is distinctive and excellent about their practice, a project proposal and two references form a peer and a student.

Learning & Teaching Day 2015 will take place on Wednesday 14th January at London College of Communication (LCC). Registration starts from 09:00 and the closing plenary will be at 16:00 followed by a drinks reception. Confirmed participant sessions are detailed here with a full schedule to follow.

This year the Centre for Learning and Teaching Art and Design’s Learning and Teaching Day theme Creative Teaching will explore the ways we can take risks and innovate to improve learning and teaching at UAL. The conference will explore creative approaches to teaching and supporting learning across our disciplines, and across our diverse spaces that include workshops, lecture halls, libraries and studios.
