An exploration of how creative arts lecturers talk about reflecting on their teaching
The purpose of this recent EdD study was to explore how creative arts lecturers in higher education talk about reflecting on their teaching. The research was responding to a gap in knowledge in the literature on the dialogic and contextual influences on reflective teaching in the creative arts. The research findings illuminate the possibilities of foregrounding discourses (and associated practices) in reflective teaching, as a means of enabling ‘authentic, practice based academic development’ (Loads and Campbell, 2015)
