Expanding the Boundaries of Blended Learning: Lessons from the technical frontline
Technicians work with students in unique and varied ways. In the last year these relationships between students and technicians and within the technician community itself, have revealed under-estimated aspects of Higher Education.
What we might call the ‘Technical Revolution’ in Higher Education during the Pandemic has allowed for a shift in the balance of power and decision making, through an extension and consolidation of existing technician communities. Technical teams have come to the fore as essential providers of knowledge and expertise, of more pastoral support than ever before, and become key change-makers in the collaborative culture of Higher Education.
