What are the different session formats?
We have the following 7 different formats:
Workshop, Paper, Panel Discussion, Lightning Talk, Flip Session, Conversation, Creative/other.
To find details of each format, go to our proposal page and click on the format title for the description in the drop-down label.
When will my proposal be reviewed?
After the Open Call submission window closes on 11 May, we will begin the Peer Review process, where your anonymous proposal will be reviewed by a minimum of 3 colleagues. We aim to let you know the outcome by the end of May.
Can students submit a proposal?
Since this is a staff conference, students cannot submit proposals independently. However, we warmly welcome collaboration between students and staff. Students can also co-host sessions with UAL staff.
Can external guests be invited to be part of a proposal presentation?
Yes, we welcome external partners and collaborators. Please indicate on your proposal which partner institution you are applying from.
Can I get any help with my proposal?
Yes! Email us at educationfestival@arts.ac.uk and we’ll try to put you in touch with a peer mentor in your local College, or someone from the Learning and Teaching Directorate.
Will the sessions be recorded?
Historically sessions at the event have not been recorded. However, as an access requirement we are planning to programme a virtual space to include colleagues who may not be able to present in person.
