Amor Vincit Omnia: A Micro‑Studio for Emotional Listening

other

Micro Studio

Abstract

This 30‑minute creative session transforms a small space into a pop‑up emotional‑listening studio, inviting participants to explore how music can act as a non‑verbal language for wellbeing and belonging. The event draws on my UAL research (2024–2025) into sound‑based pedagogies that support Gen Z, neurodivergent, and international students.

Session and activities

Participants move through three short stations:
  1. Guided Listening Booth — a curated 2‑minute audio piece for emotional grounding.
  2. Sound‑to‑Visual Table — materials for translating rhythm into marks, textures, or colour.
  3. Collective Sound Wall — participants anonymously add a song linked to a feeling or memory.
The purpose is to create a gentle, reflective micro‑environment that demonstrates how non‑verbal, multisensory practices can foster emotional safety, cultural plurality, and connection within creative education.
Materials: speakers, headphones, paper, pens, soft lighting, QR codes for song submission.
