Exhibition
“Transform: Co-Creating Narratives of Change” is a multi-disciplinary student exhibition anchored to the Design Museum’s More Than Human exhibition. Drawing directly on the theme of Transform — the focus of this year’s Personal Project unit — the exhibition presents student work exploring processes of change, evolution, and transformation across society, environment, politics, and culture.
Where last year’s exhibition focused on climate and flora, this year’s show takes a wider lens. The exhibition is structured around four interconnected thematic sections drawn from the Personal Project brief, each representing a different dimension of transformation in our world today. Together, the sections create a cohesive dialogue between individual practice and collective concern.
We are delighted to welcome a brilliant mix of contributors to this exhibition — UAL alumni, L3 students, CSM PhD students, lecturers, specialist technicians, guest artists, and practitioners at Lime Grove.
The exhibition is designed to reflect the breadth of student pathways — including film, photography, graphic design, illustration, animation, game design, installation, and interactive media — and to present student work as ambitious, research-led, and professionally realised creative output.
Anchor: Design Museum — More Than Human
This year’s exhibition is explicitly anchored to the Design Museum’s More Than Human exhibition. The More Than Human exhibition interrogates the relationship between human beings, technology, and the natural world — examining how design can respond to a world in flux and point toward more-than-human futures.
Students have visited the exhibition in Sept 25’ as part of their primary research process. The Library Space exhibition responds to and extends that dialogue: where More Than Human addresses transformation at a global and speculative scale, our exhibition grounds those themes in student experience, creative practice, and personal inquiry.
Curatorial decisions, including the four-section structure, visual language, and participatory elements, are all informed by this relationship to the Design Museum programme.
