Tenement Press and No University Press

Were a wind to arise
I could put up a sail
Were there no sail
I’d make one of canvas and sticks

Bertolt Brecht, ‘Motto’

Founded in 2021, Tenement Press is an independent publisher of esoteric, angular, and interdisciplinary literatures in which the poetic and the political intersect.

No University Press, an imprint from Tenement, publishes titles possessing a presentist enthusiasm that work beyond the policies of enclosure that define and underwrite the mission of academic publishing.

Tenement’s editor and publisher Dominic J. Jaeckle – and contributing editor to the No University Press series, Benjamin Pickford – will be hosting a stall at this year’s edition of the UAL Education Conference selling recent publications in Tenement’s catalogue, and to respond to questions and queries concerning Tenement’s work, advocacy, and forthcoming titles.
